The St-Germain BAR Scholarship
double_red_lines

St-Germain will be awarding one talented bartender each year with a scholarship to attend the Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR) Five-Day Intermediate Certificate Program. Lauded as the mixology equivalent to a Masters of Wine or Master Sommelier program, the BAR Intermediate Certificate Program is the world's most comprehensive distilled spirits and mixology educational curriculum.

The next program will be September 26 - 30, 2011 in New York City.

Tuition Scholarship to Attend BAR: $3,500
Stipend for Travel: $1,000

In order to be considered for the St-Germain BAR scholarship, you must be a professional bartender nominated by a fellow bartender and approved by the BAR committee, including industry heavyweights Doug Frost, Paul Pacult, David Wondrich, Andy Seymour, Steve Olson and Dale DeGroff. The only requirement we have for the scholarship award winner is that he or she provide a diary style account of his or her BAR experience for our website so that as many bartenders as possible can learn about the BAR class. The exchange of ideas amongst the cocktail community is incredibly important and we want the St-Germain BAR Scholarship winner to share as much of the knowledge they attain with as many bartenders and cocktailians as possible.

If you are a bartender or bar owner and would like to nominate a fellow bartender for this scholarship, please fill out the form to the right.
